Worktribe Metadata

Worktribe Metadata provides a flexible architecture for tagging, searching and filtering any type of content.

The visual Worktribe Metadata editor makes it easy for any non-technical administrator to define custom fields for a particular business function, defining the nature and scope of the field - for example, adding a 'Job ID' field to all tasks.  Each custom field can be assigned rules (e.g. 'required, must be numeric') and display options ('display in task summaries').  Furthermore, custom fields are made immediately available in Worktribe Search - in this example, allowing users to search and filter on Job ID.

Worktribe Metadata is pre-configured with standard metadata schemas for industry verticals such as financial services and pharmaceuticals.  These can be extended to suit business requirements.

The Metadata Editor enables administrators to extend the standard workflow structures to customise granular tagging to individual business units and functions. This includes full control of formatting rules, required fields, display formatting and auto-population.

Worktribe Metadata is fully integrated with Worktribe Search, and this process is entirely automatic. Metadata schemas are automatically exported to Search in real-time, enabling search on individual metadata fields according to the rules specified in the metadata builder. Users can search on one or more metadata fields, with their input options defined according to the metadata schema.

Key benefits:
  • Auto-population of certain fields
  • Part of audit trail
  • Searchable
  • Very flexible
